JourneyDance® is a dynamic, structured process that combines guided and freestyle components to facilitate getting into your body, clearing your mind, and releasing what no longer serves you.
JourneyDance® is not about learning steps. It’s about revealing, recovering, and re-discovering your natural intuitive movement. Through the flow of experiential movement and the power of sound, the practice helps to reconnect you with your innate states of joy, well-being, and vitality.
JourneyDance® provides a supportive space for participants to experience embodiment, explore emotions, and bring forth inner power.
No prior dance experience is necessary.
Presented by Tessa Bent
Tessa has loved dance her whole life starting with ballet classes when she was a child through explorations into modern, breakdancing, salsa, and hip hop with many years of training in Middle Eastern dance.
During a yoga retreat at Kripalu in 2022, she discovered JourneyDance® and immediately felt its healing power. Her teacher training began in 2023 and she became a certified JourneyDance® facilitator this year.
She is honored to share this transformational movement practice with others so they may feel more at home in their own bodies, express themselves freely, and process emotions in a supportive environment.
