All are invited for a special opportunity to meet the the Rev. Dr. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones during his visit to St. Paul's Indy, as he reflects on Spirituals and justice. Relying heavily on his book, “Face to the Rising Sun: Reflections on Spirituals and Justice,” attendees will meditate on the words and messages of the Spirituals and how they call us to live in solidarity and work for justice and peace. Father Mark will lead all in discussion and reflection with writing prompts intertwining the concepts of lament and hope. Together, all will take time to reflect and begin putting thoughts, feelings and ideas for advancing racial reconciliation in our community into writing.Please join us in the Parish Hall for a continental breakfast, meaningful conversation and a hands-on writing workshop. Together, we’ll learn, reflect, discuss and write as we take thoughtful steps forward on our shared journey toward justice.
