Yoga Nidra & Sacred Soundwith Angela Manzer
Experience the practice of Yoga Nidra, a yogic method that merges consciousness with the subconscious in a dream-like state. This session will lead you through gentle breathing exercises, body scanning, and visualizations to guide you into the theta brain state, harmonizing your autonomic nervous system, which comprises the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. The practice will be complemented by a sound healing session using singing bowls.
Sound therapy has been utilized for millennia as a healing technique and has continued to evolve over time. The sound immersion will feature the therapeutic frequencies emitted by traditional and modern singing bowls, with minimal use of other instruments. This assortment includes Tibetan singing bowls and crystal quartz singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks and other instruments promoting equilibrium in the physical, mental, and energetic aspects of the body.
What to Bring to the Event:
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Yoga mat
- Water or tea
- Journal and pen
- Extra bolsters, blankets and pillows (the studio provides one bolster and one blanket)
