$50 per personAdvent is a season of preparation, anticipation and waiting for Christmas. In this very busy season of holiday gatherings and activities, it can be difficult to take time to pause and savor the hopeful longing for the birth of the Savior.
Treat yourself to a unique and prayerful morning with a walk on the Labyrinth combining reflection and action. This salvation walk reflects the journey of humanity from creation of the world to the birth of Emmanuel (God with us). Experience this walk as a sacred pause to reflect on your journey. Like the labyrinth, the journeys of Mary & Joseph, shepherds, Magi and ours are full of unexpected twists and turns.
Joining our journey of life and a labyrinth walk with all of creation allows us to refresh with a spiritual pause in a busy time. The morning includes introduction to the Labyrinth, sharing, Labyrinth walk, journal opportunities and reflection on the Epiphany cycle.
This walk is scheduled to take place when the annual Nativity exhibit is open in the Mary & Joseph Center Lounge. After the walk or during this month of December, you are invited to visit our annual Nativity exhibit.
Sue Ballotti is spiritual director at Mary & Joseph Retreat Center in Southern Ca. She is on the executive board for the Center and volunteers with the annual Nativity Exhibit as part of the Exhibit team. She is a Veriditas trained Labyrinth facilitator and leads groups in walks at the Center. Hands on and practical in style, she has presented several Labyrinth workshops or retreats. She loves to walk, quilt, read and spend time with her husband John and their 5 grandchildren.
