This event is for those of us entering or already in/past menopause.We’ll draw on practical knowledge from Yoga and Ayurveda to help understand what is going on in our bodies and emotions and bring grace into our next stage of life.
Whether you’ve experienced hot flashes, more aches and pains, brain fog and fatigue, or are just gliding through this life transition, we’ll offer techniques to see you through, including yoga, breathwork, delicious foods and more. In a culture that tends to glorify youth and productivity, thinking about menopause and the changes that come with it can bring up trepidation.
Navigating this time of life can be challenging to say the least, but it can also be a window of opportunity and a new beginning—a chance to realign with our values and prioritize our own well-being. From an Ayurvedic perspective, the stage of life you’re going through at a given moment can impact your overall health—especially when it comes to menopause and its associated experiences.
So how do we balance menopause with our daily lives? Can Ayurveda’s ancient wisdom still apply to modern day living? The answer is yes!
Let’s learn an Ayurvedic perspective on menopause and hormones and learn to celebrate this journey in our lives. The second half of the workshop will combine an alignment-based sequence with restorative poses designed to tone the pelvic organs and musculature, strengthen bones, promote joint flexibility, and alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, mind fog, and fatigue. We'll cover how to take these yoga principles home and apply them to our regular practices and daily lives.
Ultimately, we'll tap into our innate wellsprings of wisdom as we navigate the sometimes perplexing changes associated with the transition through menopause. We can’t wait for you to join us for this event we’ve all been waiting for!
