Journey of the Magi : A Laban Movement Choir

Susi will lead us to create 'A Dance in a Day'. We will explore and create the stages of the Journey of the Magi which begins with inspiration to start out. The journey is not easy, it faces obstacles, upheavals; relationships fracture and they remember happier times - should they continue? They do go on with awareness and finally there is the arrival, filling them with light and adoration and an ending?

There will be opportunities for improvisation as well as whole group movement. The day will culminate in a 'performance' of the 'journey'. Individuals are welcome to invite friends and family members but the emphasis here is on experiencing 'the dance' collectively rather than 'performance' in the conventional sense of the word. Please bring lunch.
