Opera meets Central Florida literature with this special look into Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings’ acclaimed children’s book THE SECRET RIVER adapted into an Opera to be premiered this December at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. This presentation will feature Florence Turcotte from University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries, who serves as the official Rawlings archivist, composer Stella Sung, and singers from Opera Orlando. This event is free and open to the public.
