Join Journee Carter as she makes her cabaret debut in “What a Journee!” Using an eclectic mix of music from Freddie Mercury to Stephen Sondheim, and Andrew Lloyd Webber to Miley Cyrus, Carter takes us on an adventure of self discovery, finding your passion and making a family. A classically trained singer, who shifts seamlessly through musical genres, Journee will have you thinking, laughing, and dancing in your chairs!
“What a Journee!” is Musical Directed by sought after St. Louis arranger and pianist Carol Schmidt, and Directed by Multi Award winning Director (and St. Louis native) Lennie Watts.
Journee Carter was raised in the St. Louis area where she performs in operas, teaches music, directs choirs, sings with the St. Louis Women's Chorale as a section leader, and occasionally works behind the scene in theaters. A vocal performance graduate of Webster University and Shenandoah Conservatory, Carter also attended the 2023 Eugene O’Neill Cabaret Conference.
