Creating a Gratitude Journal

Positive Thought Therapy captured within the pages of a notebook - looking for the positives, manifesting good things, prioritising what's important, focusing on hopes & dreams...

Discussing the concept and benefits of journal therapy; of utilising self reflection techniques, appreciating the wins in life and learning from the mis-steps and mishaps. Working with journal prompts to encourage your thoughts to flow more easily onto the page.

During the workshop, you will be creating in a notebook of your choice and creating a classic Junk Journal, where pages are created from an assortment of scrap paper including newsprint, music score, paper bags etc. If you are using your own plain notebook, then we can adapt your journal by pasting these different papers onto the existing pages.

The pages will be filled with ephemera, both in advance and over the course of the months, creating a visual ephemera diary of your time. There will be guidance on adding words of encouragement, tiny photos, precious things, plus ideas for any other ways you can incorporate uplifting memory triggers.

There will also be a pile of books from the library shelves (which Suzanna will select beforehand) that contain images that will hopefully inspire our creativity and ideas even further...

As always, a little ephemera pack will be provided on the day, to get your new project up and running.

You are welcome to bring along a small blank journal of your choice. Alternatively you can purchase a handmade Wild Scribe journal insert from Suzanna on the day of the workshop, for an additional cash payment of £5.00 (A6 plain paper) or £7.00 (A6 junk journal)

At the end of the session you will take away an Information sheet and the remaining contents of your ephemera pack, plus your little decorated journal, prepped and ready to add your future findings, memories and ephemera at home.
