About this Event
Jornadas Latinas 2025 is a festival created by and for Latine youth in New Orleans. We believe young people are changemakers, and this gathering is all about building spaces where we can connect, grow, and support each other in reaching our goals.
This year’s event is inspired by Bad Bunny’s album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, a project about resistance, identity, and storytelling. Just like the album captures the power of reclaiming our narratives, Jornadas Latinas is a space where youth take the mic, share their stories, and celebrate their impact.
We’re bringing the festival to the New Orleans Jazz Museum, a place that honors the deep roots of music in our culture. Together, we’ll explore how our voices, creativity, and leadership can shape the future.
What to Expect:
- A panel led by young leaders, featuring conversations on visibility, storytelling, and reclaiming narratives
- A showcase of youth-led initiatives and the impact they are making in their communities
- Interactive activities designed to spark dialogue, collaboration, and action
- Live music and performances that celebrate Latine culture and storytelling
Who Is This For?
- Latine high school and college students
- Educators who work with Latine youth
- Family members supporting Latine youth
- Organizations and community members invested in youth leadership and advocacy
This event will be primarily in Spanish and Spanglish. We want everyone to feel comfortable expressing themselves in the language that best reflects their identity and experiences.
