Jordfeil - Hedvig Thorkildsen
Without a brain there are no colors. Some say that black is not a color. An object has color because it interacts with light and provides a selective reflection. If less than 1% of the light is reflected back, the object becomes black; if 90% of all light is reflected, it becomes white.
Hedvig Thorkildsen has worked with a series of experimental etchings, where the metal is gradually broken down by the acid. The decomposition process of the metal plate is the material and visual starting point for image creation.
Hedvig Thorkildsen (b.1982, NO) has an MA in Art from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen (2013). She works with several media such as graphics, installation and sculpture. She has several solo exhibitions and group exhibitions behind her both nationally and internationally.
The exhibition is supported by the Municipality of Bergen.

Messy Spells & Lazy Incantations - Luke Drozd
Layering, collaging, shuffling
New views of the same place
On the brink of an unknown future
With echoes from a vanished past
A ghostly wheeze
A belching germy rasp
Reworked as a mixture of symbols and foggy idea(l)s
As messy spells and lazy incantations.
Luke Drozd is a multi-disciplinary artist from the UK and based in Bergen, Norway who works with print, sculpture, sound, performance, film and writing. His work is interested in the forgotten and overlooked, and investigations into the tensions between different materials, processes, objects and words.
The exhibition is supported by the Municipality of Bergen.
