On February 6th, we gather at Earl Grey Community Centre to celebrate the life and birthday of our dear friend, Jordan Braun, and to share in community while supporting causes that were important to him.
Jordan was an outspoken advocate and ally of the less fortunate. As such, all net proceeds from the event will be donated to Siloam Mission. We will also be collecting gently used clothing items to donate to Siloam Mission, so check your closets for anything you don't wear anymore!
Additionally, we will have a hamper to collect non-perishable food items for Harvest Manitoba.
As a nurse, Jordan was very aware of how valuable a blood donation is, and would often plan outings with his friends to donate blood as a group. Bring your health card! We will have someone ready to help you sign up for a blood donation at Canadian Blood Services. Anyone who signs up to donate will receive a small token of appreciation.
Drinks will be available for purchase, with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages available. A light luncheon will be served. Last call is at 12:45.
There will be a door prize raffle and a 50/50 draw, with prizes drawn at midnight!
There is limited parking along the side of the building in the alley off Cockburn. Earl Grey Community Centre is located within walking distances of stops for the FX3, F8, and D19 lines, which connect to the Blue, F5, and F6 at nearby Osborne Station. Make sure you have a safe ride home, carpooling is encouraged! NO DRINKING AND DRIVING!
