After stacking up awards in high school and earning top honors at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼, he hit the ground running — leading his trio at spots like 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗯 and 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹. 🎶
His second album 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀 drew major praise — 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇 and 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 called his playing “impressive,” “very dynamic,” and full of “strong rhythmic textures.” 💥
But Jon isn’t just a jazz cat — he’s a genre-spanning collaborator, working with artists like 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗲 and 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝘀.
