Joline Baylis
An accomplished singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Joline Baylis captivates audiences with her soulful voice and poignant lyrics. Her performances are intimate and magnetic - whether playing solo in a stripped-down acoustic setting or commanding the stage with a full band, Joline's passion and vulnerability leave a lasting impression.
Baylis' debut release, “Break Me Down,” produced by Kenton Loewen (Dan Mangan + Blacksmith) has been described as “fresh, haunting, and profoundly honest”. Her music effortlessly blends elements of folk, rock and soul, creating a unique sound that is both intimate and powerful.
Following the release of “Break Me Down,” Baylis found herself reckoning with challenges that called for solitude and healing. Surrendered to a quieting of the creative fire, Joline kept the embers warm while tending to her recovery.
Today, a new chapter unfolds as Joline prepares for a return to the studio to record a collection of songs written during a period of intense transformation and growth. Delving into uncharted sonic territory as she incorporates electric guitar and piano into her writing process, Joline’s new music reflects her experiences with sobriety, self-acceptance, and creative renewal.
