CIVIC THURSDAY JOINT CLUB MEETING - OFFSITE MEETING AT THE LAKE MERRITT BREAKFAST CLUB
Join us for a special Joint Meeting with the Lake Merritt Breakfast Club. Our clubs have done so much together to protect and enhance Lake Merritt, Oakland's Crown Jewel. Please arrive by 7AM at the Lake Merritt Garden Center to check in and network. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 AM. This in-person gathering will be a great opportunity to connect with fellow members of both the Oakland Rotary Club and Lake Merritt Breakfast Club.
Our guest speaker will be Dr. Tammeil Gilkerson, the Chancellor of the Peralta Community College District, effective January 4, 2024. Dr. Gilkerson most recently served as the President of Evergreen Valley College in San José, CA, where she has worked since 2020. The Chancellor job represents a return to the Peralta Colleges for Dr. Gilkerson, as she was previously the President of Laney College from 2017 to 2020.
