Become a certified Joint Health and Safety Committee member! Part 1 - Joint health and safety committees assist in providing greater protection against workplace injury, illness and deaths. Joint health and safety committees involve representatives from workers and employers. This co-operative involvement ensures that everything possible is done to identify and eliminate or mitigate workplace health and safety hazards.
Part 2 - The participant will have a better attitude toward solving workplace health and safety issues
• Create stronger working relationships between workers and management across multiple departments
• Participate in the process of recognizing, assessing and controlling workplace hazards
• Promote open lines of communication amongst all levels of employees
