Earlier this year Terri Thompson of Whiteville was murdered in her home. She left behind young children who she adored. Terri was known as a gentle and loving person who was faithful to have her girls in church for worship on Sunday morning and at AWANA on Sunday night. After much prayer, both the Whiteville Police Department who investigated the crime, and the people of Trintiy Baptist feel a mutual calling to assist Terri's children. So, we are partnering in meeting this need.
On Friday, October 31, 2025, we will hold 2 sperate but united events. The "Halloween Bash" located at the Whiteville City Hall Parking Lot, and the annual "Trunks of Treats" event at Trinity Baptist Church (201 Thompson St)
Raffle tickets for an 86-inch LG SMART TV will be sold in advance and at both events until 6:45pm on the 31st. The winning ticket will be drawn at 7pm and announced at both locations. The proceeds from this raffle will be used toward the direct care and housing needs of Terri's daughters.
Please be in prayer for this event, for this incredible family impacted by this crime, for our Whiteville Police Department and for Trintiy Baptist Church.
