What is Sahaja Yoga and how does it help with Inner Peace?
Sahaja Yoga is a unique method of meditation based on an experience called Self Realization (Kundalini awakening) that can occur within each human being. Through this process an inner transformation takes place by which one becomes moral, united, integrated and balanced.
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi founded the Sahaja Yoga movement in 1970. Her unique discovery of this simple meditation form has made inner peace unequivocally attainable by all those who desire it. In today's world of complex societal problems, extremism and conflict, the Sahaja Yoga movement is ever resolved to bring emotional, mental and spiritual well-being to humankind. As told by Shri Mataji, "there will never be peace in the world until we have peace within ourselves". March 21 was declared as Inner Peace Day to honor Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi's birth.
