In honor of Workforce Development Month, TCC’s Workforce Development Office will host a Seminar on microcredentials. This seminar aims to help learners and industry partners understand the purpose and benefits of microcredentials, evaluate their role in professional development, and implement strategies for utilizing them to enhance career prospects. It is also designed to help industry partners grasp the benefits of microcredentials, integrate them into their talent development strategies, and explore collaborative opportunities with higher education institutions to address specific skill requirements within their industries.
Learning Outcomes for Participants:
• Participants will be able to explain the advantages of earning micro-credentials, including their role in showcasing expertise to peers and employers, enhancing competitiveness in the job market, and motivating ongoing professional development.
• Industry partners will be able to explore potential collaboration opportunities with higher education institutions to develop customized micro-credential programs tailored to specific industry needs, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership for the workforce.
