About this Event
Penny Appeal USA is proud to host Bassem Youssef, the Egyptian-American comedian and former surgeon widely recognized as the “Jon Stewart of the Arab World.” Known for his fearless satire, his groundbreaking TV show, and his starring role in the acclaimed documentary Tickling Giants, Bassem Youssef has become one of the world’s most influential voices on politics, media, and social justice.
With his sharp humor and candid storytelling, Bassem will bring both levity and insight to an urgent conversation on what’s happening in Gaza and highlighting the human cost of conflict and the power of laughter and truth to challenge oppression.
This event is not only an evening of entertainment and reflection. It’s also a call to action. Together, we’ll raise critical funds to support Penny Appeal USA’s life-saving humanitarian programs in Gaza and beyond.
Guiding the program will be Paul Elia, actor, comedian, and writer, whose energy and wit will keep the audience engaged from start to finish. Brother Ali, the acclaimed hip hop artist and activist, whose powerful performance will inspire and move the room.
