I am creating 'Meno-Make' ... A creative group for women experiencing the menopause or perimenopause, to meet up, share stories, and make art about their experience.
This is an opportunity to have some 'me time', prioritise YOU, take some time out to make something that voices your experience.
I am aiming to create a safe and supportive women-only space, where we can talk, make and either laugh ... or cry ... depending on the day!!
Cheaper AND more fun than therapy!! Tea and tissues provided free of charge!
I need to clarify that I am NOT a therapist , I am just facilitating a space for YOU to explore ways of using art to empower and communicate experience.

Who am I?
My name is Mel and I AM A MENOPAUSAL WOMAN!! There ... I said it !
I'm 50 years old and have first-hand experience of the hot flushes, the sleepless nights, and a severe loss of identity.
I am also an artist and I run art workshops in the local area. Having run arty workshops for over 20 years, I have always loved the conversations and stories that develop when people start making art. It's been an absolute privilege to be honest!
So I thought... why not mix the two?
What about the art?
-How do you visualise your experience?
-How would you paint brain fog?
-How could you draw the strangest happening since entering this phase in your life?
-How many times have you put your keys in your fridge and the milk in your handbag ?????!! (Believe me, there is an art piece to be made from this!)
-What colour is your sadness or your gladness?
-Perhaps you want to make something that celebrates YOU and the fact that you are GETTING THROUGH THIS EVERY DAY!!
I am so interested in hearing about the stories of other women and excited for the creative pieces that could emerge from them. It could be a painting, a sculpture, a print, a piece of embroidery, or a portrait, a letter to yourself.

I am offering the first 5 bookings at £10 for the first session. (Normal price £20/session) (Discounts available for block bookings. ONE LESS THING TO THINK ABOUT! )
