Join the Caravan! Rajasthani Folk Dance and Rhythm Workshop
Come and experience the vibrant and colorful world of Rajasthani folk dance and rhythm at our workshop! Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan as you learn the exotic Kalbelia/Snake Charmers' dance from Pooja Sapera, and the scintillating rhythms on khartal (wooden clappers) or manjeera (small cymbals) from the talented musicians of Ashraf Khan's Group, on tour from Rajasthan, India. The workshop will conclude with a jugalbandhi (call and response) between the percussions and possibly between the percussionists and dancers.
