Join Lenten Workshop to Reflect on Seven Sorrows of Mary

Please join the St. John the Beloved Women's Council on Saturday, March 7th 2026 (9:30-11:30 AM with breakfast; Donation-based event, suggested donation of $15 at the door, or online.

You are welcome to attend 8:30 AM Mass at St John the Beloved Church, 6420 Linway Ter. McLean. Our main program starts at 9:30 AM inside the Eagle Hall/ Parish Hall of St John beloved Academy. Breakfast will be served frtom 9:30 to11:30 AM.

Our Keynote speaker Katherine Howe Evans will speak on The Seven Sorrows of Mary.

There will be Q &A followed by an activity to either discuss or be creative in order to bring the teachings of Our Lady of Sorrows alive in your own life.

Dr. Katherine Howe Evans is an enthusiastic convert to Catholicism. The daughter of a Protestant bishop, she came home to Rome in 2006 and now cherishes her relationship with the Blessed Mother. On March 7 she will share her insights on the Seven Sorrows of Mary, a timely meditation for the season of Lent.Dr. Evans has a master's degree in Theology, a master's degree in Counseling, and a doctorate in Education. She has been an OCIA Director for the past 8 years and has taught catechist certification classes throughout the Diocese of Arlington for the past 3 years. She currently serves as the Director of Religious Education at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fredericksburg, VA, where she lives with her husband, Mike, a Navy Commander and diaconal candidate.
