Join us for the 9th annual Johnson City Zine Fest on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 324 E Main Street in downtown Johnson City from 11am to 4pm. This year's fest will feature over 40 zinesters/vendors displaying and selling their zines and artwork. This event is free to attend....But wait, what is a zine? A zine, pronounced ZEEN (as in the last part of the word magazine), is a small self published booklet or pamphlet, made in multiple. Zines can be on any and all topics - it's up to the artist, writer, or creator to decide. Below are a few sources that expand on this definition and provide some context and history:
