On the Cinder, the Abruptors and DJ Servo!
Jesus Christ, 30 fucking years.
1994 - Thousands of people watched the OJ Simpson Police Chase,
Buffalo Bills Lost the Superbowl to the Dallas Cowboys, Kurt Cobain
Committed Suicide, Tonya Harding had Nancy Kerrigan Attacked.
I was 22 years old and still living at my parents' house when I placed an ad in the Art Voice looking for a guitar player to start a punk rock band with my
friend who played bass. Literally only one person answered my ad. One.
Seriously, you can't make that shit up. If Tony had never opened that Art Voice
there would be no Johnny Revolting. So here we are 30 years later.
Same four dudes playing the same three chords.
It started off pretty rough, we really had no idea what we were doing, but we didn't care. We all had the same sense of humor and just wanted to play fast music, drink beers and play shows.
All of us are now in our early fifties, married, nine kids between the four of us.
I love when I run into an old friend, and they say "I can't believe you guys are still playing"
I can't say enough how lucky we are to have found each other, write songs, record records, meet
amazing people and play shows.
That being said, I would like to extend a formal invitation to every single person that we have met over
the last 30 years to come hang with us on Saturday 28th to celebrate the Johnny Revolting 30 year
Anniversary! It would be amazing to see as many old friends as possible. Put it on your calendar right now!
And as we always say,
Come out and yell shit!
