This week we are proud to announce the first concert to be held in Duncormick for a long while. On Feb 1st at 7:30, Duncormick Village Fund Committee , DVF ( formally Duncormick Harvest Festival)will host a St. Brigid's night concert. The Village Fund has been established to fundraise for the purchase of the old school, formally as DHF has funded the carpeting of the Church, painting of the church, contributed to the village walk way among other smaller items. The DVF committee support the Duncormick Area Action CLG in all their endeavours to improve the Village aesthetics and facilities. We are we are committed to including all those in our small community and extend help where it is needed.
Headlining on the night will be the very well know songwriter John Spillane from Co. Cork and also the unique setting will feature local Wexford man, storyteller and writer Joe Brennan. Both have appeared together before in far flung places and will regale us all with story , verse and song.
On Friday 31st John Spillane will visit the local schools in Rathangan and Danescastle to meet the children and share some tunes old and new.
