On Saturday, December 27 The Pickup takes over Chimera Ballroom for an evening of storytelling, drinks and conversation with John Paul, who will read a story adapted from his forthcoming book Reverse Cowboy. The reading will be followed by a conversation about everything from making a career out of your hilarious Grindr stories to what it means to be an Okie ex-pat.
About John Paul Brammer
John Paul Brammer is a columnist, author, illustrator, and content creator based in Brooklyn. He grew up in rural Oklahoma and wrote the popular LGBTQ and Latino advice column ¡Hola Papi! which he started in 2017. You can find him on Substack.
