About this Event
John McVey returns to Joe's with his world renown blues guitar chops for a very special evening. His good friend, Tom Ray, owner of Vintage Vinyl, DJ on WSIE and harp player on the blues scene in STL, will join him. They will have an amazing rhythm section of Juan Abair on drums and Tecora Morgan on bass. Riley Morgan will be on the keys. This joint is gonna rock! This the real-deal Holyfield, folks. The shining mecca of blues comes to the Joe's Cafe stage on this evening, and we couldn't be more excited!
John McVey is blues royalty in Texas. He is a made man, as they say. Anyone in the upper echelon of blues knows who John is and they respect him completely.
Tecora Morgan and Riley Morgan played with Big George Brock and their father was a great blues man himself. The apple didn't fall far from the tree.
Tom Ray has been a music ambassador in STL for decades. He has distributed the sounds to the people via Vintage Vinyl for decades. He has played blues harp for the people for decades. He held down a radio show on KDHX, The Soul Selector, for decades, until the current management fired him for no cause; they just suck. So, he took his decades of experience to WSIE and is very happy there, thank you. He is music royalty of the highest order in this town and is always welcome at Joe's Cafe.
If ya want to hear the best of the best in blues, this is your chance!
