Intro and outro by film historian John Martello.Special post-show discussion with Suzanne Lloyd (Harold Lloyd's granddaughter) and Bruce Goldstein (the Founding Repertory Director of Film Forum)!
In this, Harold Lloyd's last silent film, Harold plays a guy who can't keep a job because he's always distracted by his love for the New York Yankees and for a girl named Jane. Jane's grandfather owns the city's last horse-drawn streetcar and is being pressured by the big, mechanized streetcar company to sell out to them. Partially filmed on the streets of New York in 1928 in Greenwich Village, Coney Island and Midtown Manhattan, there is a wonderful cameo by the Bambino himself, Babe Ruth.
