John Foster is an 18-year-old Nashville recording artist and runner-up on Season 23 of American Idol from Addis, Louisiana. He is an avid student of country music; he enjoys learning the vast history of the genre, its notable figures, and the intricacies that make it so unique and lovable. His style can be described as Neo-Traditional, influenced by musicians like George Strait, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, and Willie Nelson.
