John Douglas - Founding member., and one of the main songwriters, in Scotlands beloved Trashcan Sinatras. His work of over 30 years with the Trashcans has included releasing 6 successful albums and touring consistently all around the world. Revered by the critics and praised by many fellow artists, the band has created a large and loyal following for their classic, yet highly individual, songwriting.
John remains a treasured member of the band though he is currently enjoying a successful solo career. He released his first solo album in 2023 to rave reviews. The album found John in stripped back, raw, acoustic form. All live takes of John singing his own unique songs. He has followed that up with a recently released a 4 track EP of new songs featuring covers of Tom Waits & Van Morrison songs.
John has also been a member of his wife, Eddi Readers, band for over 20 years. He has co-written many songs with Eddi and contributed many songs to her catalogue, including the classic ‘Wild Mountainside’
Recently returned from a highly successful coast to coast USA tour, John is in fine form with his acoustic guitar, stories and songs. Catch him while you can.
Eilidh (pronounced EYElee) is a warm, engaging singer songwriter of startling clarity. With songs that cut straight to the heart, delightfully accurate guitar playing, and crystal clear vocals, Eilidh immediately connects with audiences everywhere.
Having released 5 studio albums and an EP to date, Eilidh (from Derry, N. Ireland) is a hard-working independent artist who is driven by her desire to connect with people. This desire has seen her perform regularly across Northern Ireland and at festivals such as SxSW in Austin TX (3 times), Folk Alliance in Memphis TN, and Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Scotland.
Over the years she has worked with established artists in the folk scene both in the studio and on stage, most notably with Beth Nielsen Chapman. Regularly appearing on TV and radio, Eilidh has taken part in many live broadcasts and programmes for BBC NI and her music is played on radio stations across the UK and Ireland.
Stage times and show duration are approx.
