John Charland (above left) has been playing guitar and performing Delta style blues and roots music for over 50 years. The night will open with a half-hour set by Luke Molina (above right), who provides a tasteful combination of old-school sound with new flare.John Charland enjoyed a very active schedule in the 80's and 90's playing in New England. He performed as lead vocal and guitarist in the swing band "Post Road Junction" and as guitarist in the rhythm section of "Vic Elci's Big Band. "In addition to his solo performances with guitar and voice, John has been a vocal soloist in many community theater projects, and has sung in the bass section of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus for 25 years.
Luke Molina's numerous covers--from Reggae to R&B-- are all inspired with a far-out bluesy sound and deft fingerpicking style.
