Returning to the US from her home in rural Wales, songwriter Johanna Warren brings her hauntingly beautiful, mystically-woven folk to the dreamy space of The Hidden Temple.
Johanna's music is a fearless excavation of the shadow — unafraid to transform the darkest corners of being human into spellbinding melodies that invite reflection and acceptance. Across six critically-acclaimed albums including Chaotic Good (2020) and Lessons for Mutants (2022), she has carved out a distinctive space where vulnerability becomes power, where the many parts of self are honored in all their complexity wrapped in hauntingly ethereal vocals.

Warren is not only a musician but also an herbalist, and for this special evening she’s invited local “plant people” to collaborate. Mid-concert, Laura Torraco of Sage Green Botanicals in Greenfield ( sagegreenbotanicals.me ) - and more to be announced - will share musings, knowledge, and ways to get involved in the local herbalism community.
The evening will also feature a botanical elixir bar with plant-crafted potions and tonics.

My drumming is influenced by West African rhythm, Hip Hop, Latin percussion, Middle Eastern Rhythm, minimalism, shamanic trance music, electronic music, ASMR, "avant-garde," Nature, crickets, dogs, the wind, myself, and some kinda spirit. It's perpetually a call-and-response between different parts of the rhythm I create, if not the rhythms around me. I've been drumming since I was 10.
