ABOUT THE AUTHOR Combining his Sicilian heritage with modern culinary techniques, chef and restaurateur Joey Maggiore, known better as "Chef Joey," is the entrepreneur behind Chef Joey Concepts and The Maggiore Group. With his wife, Cristina, he has founded the award-winning restaurant concepts Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher, The Sicilian Baker, The Mexicano, The Rosticceria, The Italiano, and Il Massetos. Known for creating extraordinary and unforgettable dining experiences, Chef Joey has been honored by The National Italian American Foundation for his culinary contributions and is the recipient of multiple Foodist awards, including Top Chef. His magnetic personality has also earned him appearances on popular television networks such as the Food Network and the Travel Channel. Chef Joey lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with Cristina and their three children, Giuliana, Tomaso, and Melina. ABOUT THE MODERATOR Christina Barrueta is an Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame writer, a podcast guest host and contributor for A Taste of AZ magazine, and a contributing editor at The Tasting Panel Magazine and The SOMM Journal. Her work has also appeared in outlets such as SO Scottsdale , PHOENIX magazine, PHOENIX Home & Garden, Time Out, and Men’s Health , and she is the author of two books, Arizona Wine: A History of Perseverance and Passion and Phoenix Cooks .
