It’s time to get weird, Vancouver.

Gang of Three presents a night of experimental neo-grunge, industrial and post-punk with Joey Chaos and The Ghosts, Rougaroux and Phuture Memoriez.

After a year-long sabbatical, Vancouver dungeon-grunge goblins Joey Chaos and The Ghosts are releasing a trio of synth-heavy mutant rock songs with their latest EP, ‘Graces’.

To celebrate the release and return to the stage they will be joined by Rougaroux, a trans and Métis fronted six-piece band forever on the periphery of prog, post-punk and doom, and Phuture Memoriez, Vancouver’s resident balaclava adorned gonzo synth-punk industrialists.

Joey Chaos and The Ghosts are three goblins creeping out of an East Vancouver dungeon to melt minds with synth-addled grunge. They are Joey Chaos on vocals, Megan Krenbrink on drums, and Andrew Walker on guitar. In the periphery of the city’s darkwave and weird-music scene, this DiY trio creates mutant rock informed by post-punk, industrial, and 90s alternative.

Rougaroux

Rougaroux is a trans and Métis fronted six-piece band. It's a challenging task to put them into a single genre category. They are heavily inspired by prog rock, old school goth and punk, noise, and emo music. Rougaroux defy the lines of genre as they scream into the void, willing a better world into existence through the power of friendship and chosen family.

Phuture Memoriez

Phuture Memoriez is a dark synth-pop-punk band from Vancouver BC and is foundationally composed of Marc Blaquiere and Jessica Blaquiere. Creating other-worldly tones and textures to an always throbbing beat, their sound has been described as encompassing “twisted tones and haunting synth vocals, pulling the listener down into a shadowy soundscape.”

This show takes place on the stolen, traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, səl̓ílwətaʔɬ, and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh peoples.
