Joelle Charan – een inmiddels doorgewinterde zangeres, pianiste en songwriter afkomstig uit Amsterdam – zal speciaal voor deze gelegenheid verschillende Beatles-juweeltjes ten gehore brengen, ondersteund door Pedro Ivo Ferreira op bas en Floris van Elderen op drums. Daarnaast zullen als vanouds Carlos en Claudia weer klaar staan om ook de jongste luisteraar op speelse wijze te betrekken bij dit klassieke repertoire. Klanken uit Groot-Brittannië, India en Nederland "come together" in Teatro Munganga. Het belooft een unieke ervaring te worden!

Joelle Charan brengt haar nieuwste single 'Forgive Me' uit, een combinatie van moderne popmuziek met orkestrale strijkers en Indiase instrumenten. Door middel van filmische harmonieën straalt de track sprookjesachtige beelden uit. Haar aankomende album werd geremixed en gemastered door de Britse producer John Reynolds, bekend van zijn werk met U2, Brian Eno, Damien Rice en Sinéad O’Connor. Joelle heeft pers- en radio-ondersteuning gehad van het Verenigd Koninkrijk tot Brazilië met interviews en premières.
Haar eerste twee optredens in het Verenigd Koninkrijk waren uitverkocht in 2022 en 2023. Verdere hoogtepunten zijn optredens in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam voor Festival de Uitmarkt, Koninklijk Theater Carré en Paradiso Amsterdam. Na haar afstuderen in jazz-zang en -piano aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam studeerde Joelle aan The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York.

The Beatles for the youngest (and oldest) music lovers now in Teatro Munganga.
Joelle Charan – a seasoned singer, pianist and songwriter from Amsterdam – will perform several Beatles gems especially for this occasion, supported by Pedro Ivo Ferreira on bass and Floris van Elderen on drums. In addition, as always, Carlos and Claudia will be ready to actively engage with the youngest listeners in the audience. Sounds from Great Britain, India and the Netherlands “come together” in Teatro Munganga. It will be a unique experience!

Joelle Charan releases her latest single 'Forgive Me', combining modern pop music with orchestral strings and Indian instrumentation. Through cinematic harmonies, the track radiates fairytale-like imagery. Her upcoming album was remixed and mastered by British producer John Reynolds, known for his work with the likes of U2, Brian Eno, Damien Rice, and Sinéad O’Connor. Joelle has had press and radio support from the UK to Brazil with interviews and premieres.
Joelle sold out her first two performances in the UK in 2022 and 2023. Further highlights include singing in The Concertgebouw Amsterdam for Festival Uitmarkt, Royal Theatre Carré, and Paradiso Amsterdam. Upon graduating in jazz vocals and piano from the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Joelle studied at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York.
