Joel Torgeson - Guest Instructor for the San Diego Swing Dance ClubJoel Torgeson, a distinguished dance professional with over a decade of training in West Coast Swing (WCS), Ballroom, and various other dance forms, is set to be the guest instructor for the San Diego Swing Dance Club this Sunday afternoon. Joel's journey into the world of dance began in rural Minnesota, where his friend Jack encouraged him to join the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club. This initial spark ignited a deep passion for dance, leading Joel to temporarily put aside his higher education studies in Biological Anthropology to chase his dance dreams in California.
As a West Coast Swing Champion dancer, Joel now travels the globe with his partner, Chantelle Pianetta, performing and sharing their expertise through teaching. Their dynamic partnership on and off the dance floor has garnered them admiration and accolades worldwide. Beyond his performance and teaching engagements, Joel is an entrepreneur, having founded Feather Three, a dancewear brand that caters to the needs of dancers. He also shares his insights and experiences through his blog at joeltorgeson.com.
Joel's enthusiasm for teaching is evident in every class he leads. He is dedicated to working with dancers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, ensuring that everyone can enjoy and excel in the art of dance. Doors open at 1:00pm for registration and close at 1:35pm to not disturb the workshop.

San Diego Swing Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of West Coast Swing dancing that was formed back in 1970.
The longest-running WCS Club that just celebrated our 54th Anniversary.
MUSIC FORMAT:
San Diego Swing Dance Club plays predominately 70% West Coast Swing and a 30% mix of Country 2 Step, Nightclub 2 Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, Hustle, etc. DJs are receptive to requests.
