Back by popular demand, pianist Joel Schoenhals returns to the House with a stunning all-Schubert program! One of Ann Arbor’s most beloved musicians, Schoenhals brings his signature warmth, brilliance, and artistry to a powerful lineup that spans the intimate to the monumental. The program features the folk-inspired Hungarian Melody, and the Moments Musicaux —a breathtaking collection of six character pieces that showcase Schubert at his most lyrical and expressive. Schoenhals then takes an emotional turn through the haunting Allegretto in C Minor, before launching into the evening’s finale: the Wanderer Fantasy, a dazzling showpiece of passion, drama, and pianistic virtuosity.
