Joe Thayer grew up in Bradenton Florida in a family where music was a way of life—gospel songs filled the home and he was immersed in instruments from an early age. After years of studying piano clarinet and performing in orchestras and jazz bands he joined the family’s blue-collar business never straying far from songwriting and performing. In 2008 he left the big rig behind to pursue music full-time and now performs writes and produces from his own studio and house concert venue. His creative work is inspired by a life rich in grit gospel and the road.
