Joe McNally's Walk with Light!

Shoot and walk with one of the legendary storytellers of our time, Joe McNally! This will be a photographic excursion into the storied Titanic Quarter of Belfast. Join Joe on this picture ramble while he shares his mindset on location assessment, possibilities, and management of the ever-changing, fluid nature of light. Using a few small strobes and shapers, participants will learn how to blend flash with ambient light to create dynamic portraiture, and, they will get a chance to put those lessons and principles to work immediately when they photograph the professional models accompanying the walk. It’ll be fast-paced and fun, as Joe offers nonstop dialogue about the locations encountered, and strategies for success, informed by over forty years of field work on assignment for some of the most famous publications and corporations in the world. Hard light, soft light, strobe, shapers, gels will all be in play as McNally assesses situations and adapts on-the-go, walking, talking and shooting.
