Joe McGovern

Joe McGovern is a producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist originally from Lake Carmel, NY. Currently residing is Harrisburg, NC, he combines his background of vocal studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with his experience of creating local rock bands to make music that he can be proud. He is inspired by indie rock bands and hip hop artists that (to his opinion) know how to create a musical universe for people to be a part of. His sound and style of creation can be described as “an introspective rollercoaster of emotional breakthroughs”.

His debut album “Dancing on the Decks” will be released on all streaming platforms on September 15th, 2023.

Born and raised in Concord, NC, Alexa Jenson started writing songs at the age of fourteen, making her way to local venues by the age of sixteen. After playing three years of open mics and bar gigs, in 2018, she succeeded in selling out The Evening Muse, as she released her self-titled debut EP. Throwing a nod to her influences, such as Molly Rankin of Alvvays, Carole King, Billy Joel, and ABBA, Jenson doesn’t quite fit into any specific musical mold and nor does she want to.

From the vulnerable lyrics like “I love you just the same when you tear apart my brain” to the empowering “No you won’t fuck with my mental health / You’re only doing this to yourself,” Alexa’s songs cover a wide variety of raw emotions taken from her own personal experiences. With a repertoire of old classics and new beginnings, she brings the feelings cradled in her bedroom to center-stage, with a newfound attitude and hopes that you might feel them too. Or not. Either way, she doesn’t really care what you think.
