About this Event
Joe Maxi:
Joe Maxi are an energetic, 4 piece Experimental/ Alternative rock band from Dublin. Joe Maxi are producing a dynamic, fast-paced, energetic sound through hints of punk, psychedelic, prog-rock, Alternative and noise-rock influences.
‘Butterfly’ marks the first reveal from the band since 2023’s ‘Twizzle’, which garnered both critical and grass roots acclaim from fans including RTE, BBC Introducing, the Daily Mirror and the wider indie press landscape. ‘Butterfly’ shows another evolution in their already confrontational sound.

Further still, the first single from the new record, ‘Butterfly’ was debuted exclusively by Gemma Bradley on BBC Introducing NI and plays on RTE 2xm Radio Rocks playlist.
“Brand new and ready for the next stage” - Gemma Bradley, ATL Introducing
“A riotous bombardment of whipping punk energy” - BBC Introducing
‘Joe Maxi brings a different vibe and a different energy, melding psych with prog and putting the funk into post-punk’, singer Mikey Fowler is a force of nature. His lyrics punctuated by the observations around him while on stage, seem almost spontaneous’ - The Goo Dublin - May 2024 edition - Page 29.
