Originally from the sunny town of Nelson, Aotearoa/New Zealand, these days Joe Ghatt mostly resides in and around Auckland. In a live setting; Joe and his energetic 5 piece band transform his humble recordings into a huge, jammy, psychedelic rock show that engages fans and compels everybody to dance. Joe Ghatt’s 2019 cult-acclaimed debut LP Banana Sludge (released by Third Eye Stimuli Records (AUS) and Six Tonnes de Chair (FR)) is a charming lo-fi psych-surf album, featuring hit singles such as the 60s inspired psychedelic-rock number, ‘Farewell’, the hypnotic fuzz guitar jam, ‘Mammon’ and the trippy surf instrumental, ‘While The Coffee Brews’. Joe Ghatt’s eagerly-awaited sophomore album, Caper, is set for release in May 2024.

“The wild and whimsical world of burgeoning New Zealand psychedelic nobleman Joe Ghatt.” — New Commute (USA)
