Thursday, May 9, 6 p.m. Annual Jody Long Memorial lecture. Each year the museum’s Singer Society hosts a delicious dinner and fascinating lecture. This year’s speaker is Heather Smith from the Maryland Art Conservation Services. Have you ever wondered how paintings are cleaned, assessed, and treated for damage? Smith will discuss her work and provide case studies from the museum’s collection. Open to the public. Dinner at 6 p.m. and costs is $36 for museum members and $40 general public.
