Bedford Town Historian and Society President Sharon McDonald will present another in her series of lectures about historical Bedford characters, bringing them to life through her storytelling.
This presentation begins in 1664 when Job Lane bartered for hundreds of acres of land between the Concord and Shawsheen Rivers and moved his family here. McDonald will reveal engaging stories about the 17th-century Lane family and their neighbors that her research has unearthed. Appointed Town Historian in December 2015, McDonald has been active in this position ever since, giving talks to Bedford school children and to local and area organizations. She is President and a Director of the Bedford Historical Society and volunteers hundreds of hours researching and cataloging artifacts in the Society’s collections.
Doors open at 2 p.m. for a social period and refreshments
2:15 p.m. – Brief Society announcements followed by the Guest Speaker
Old Town Hall – Great Room (3rd floor)
