Jo Harrop - a very special evening of high quality modern jazz & blues

A wonderful evening in the Pump House Theatre, Watford featuring the irresistible charm of jazz & blues singer Jo Harrop with her immaculate quartet featuring Paul Edis on keys.
Jo blurs the lines between jazz and blues, with heart-melting beautiful music shot through with pathos and pain, described by the Guardian as "simple, modest and perfect".
An award-winning recording artist and songwriter, Jo is currently supporting Gregory Porter’s U Tour 2025 including 4 nights at the Royal Albert Hall.
Warm, smoky and capable of the most delicate dynamics, her mellifluous voice reveals a rarely found intimacy. Her influences are steeped in jazz, blues and soul, with flavours of Americana, folk and Latin running throughout her performances.
Her celebrated albums include Weathering The Storm The Heart Wants (ft Christian McBride), When Winter Turns To Spring, (Jo Harrop/Paul Edis), The Path Of A Tear (produced by Larry Klein), and a highly anticipated forthcoming album with producer Chris Seefried (Lady Blackbird).
Weathering The Storm was awarded 4-stars by The Guardian and her first original album The Heart Wants hit number 13 in the US Jazz Album Charts. She won Best Jazz Album 2023 for When Winter Turns to Spring.
And DJ Jo Whiley has consistently championed Jo's songs on her BBC Radio 2 show, describing her voice as "divine and amazing", whilst Iggy Pop says, "Jo is a superb and unimaginably good vocalist."
