Jo Carley and The Old Dry Skulls (UK) is een unieke band die Voodoo Vaudeville Blues brengt. Hun muziek is geïnspireerd door vroege vaudeville blues artiesten zoals Victoria Spivey en Cab Calloway, maar met een griezelige en theatrale twist die doet denken aan Dr. John en Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Dit alles gecombineerd met een opzwepende mix van old-time rock-'n-roll, skiffle, calypso in een jaren 30 sfeer.Ze combineren Blues, Skiffle, Calypso en Rockabilly met een griezelige vaudeville-twist. Laat je meevoeren naar een vervlogen tijdperk waarin heksen en zwarte magie welig tierden. Hun liedjes vertellen verhalen over deals met de duivel, verliefde demonen, toverdokters, zombies, spoken, ghouls, reizen naar de diepste jungles en andere exotische avonturen die worden verteld met behulp van zoete melodieën en gesyncopeerde geluiden.
