JMI Presents: Mason HarveyMason Harvey is a Brisbane based saxophone player currently in their second year of the Bachelor of music course at the Jazz Music Institute. His playing guided under the mentorship of Joshua Hatcher, Bohdan Davison and other esteemed musicians and teachers, has flourished over the course of his studies.
Inspired by the greats like Sonny Rollins and Ben Webster, as well as modern players, Carlos Eiene and Patrick Bartley, Mason is an inventive mind bringing fresh repertoire from the VGM songbook into the canon of jazz, with an eclectic mix of trad, swing, and hard bop music.
