It is a condition of application that you understand and agree to all the conditions and contents of the.
Applications from both in-state and interstate will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
1. Regular application period: July 19 (Tue) 9am AEST - August 24 (Wed) 5pm AEST or until capacity is reached, whichever occurs first.
• Waiting lists will not be in use.
• Cancellation of application and refund of the Test fee will be permitted as long as it is requested by the close of this period.
2. Additional application period: August 29 (Mon) 9am AEST - August 31 (Wed) 5pm AEST
• The additional application period will occur ONLY IF places were not filled or there have been cancellations during the regular application period or if a Host Institution is able to increase the capacity of their venue. • No cancellations or refunds will be allowed.
Test date: December 4 (Sun), 2022
Test Voucher: Sent by EMAIL approximately 1 month before the Test.
Test time: Assembly time will be printed on the Test Voucher. Assembly times vary per Test site. During the application period an indicative (tentative) time will be published. Test duration varies per Test Level and due to breaks.
Test location: Assembly location will be printed on the Test Voucher. A general location will be published during the application period. For details, please contact the appropriate Host Institution.
Important notes
- Do not register for more than one level or city – Tests are concurrent. It is not physically possible to attend more than one Test.
- Test fees are not refundable, deferrable or transferable once the regular application deadline has passed.
- Your bank or credit card issuer may levy an additional fee on this transaction.
- Parents and guardians with multiple children taking the test must ensure each child is registered separately.
- Ensure you check your email including spam/junk folders for JLPT communications.
Special Testing Accommodations (STA)
Applicants with an impairment or disability may request STA.
1. Read the Test Guide and the instructions for requesting STA carefully before applying for STA.
2. Complete JLPT registration and select YES to the STA question in the registration form.
3. Obtain medical certificates to support your STA application.
4. Submit the completed STA application form with medical certificates to The Japan Foundation, Sydney via email by the STA application deadline. Submission email address: ([email protected])
STA submission deadline:
• For the applicants who registered for the JLPT during the regular application period (July 19 - August 24), please submit ALL of your STA documents by August 24 (Wed) 5pm AEST, 2022.
• For the applicants who registered for the JLPT during the additional application period (August 29 - August 31), please submit ALL of your STA documents by August 31 (Wed) 5pm AEST, 2022.
