Guys and Dolls is a classic musical comedy set in Damon Runyon's mythical 1940s New York City, following two intertwining love stories: high-stakes gambler Sky Masterson falls for straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown, while lovable rogue Nathan Detroit struggles to find a venue for his floating craps game and keep his long-suffering fiancée, Adelaide, happy. Known for its brassy Frank Loesser score ("Luck Be a Lady," "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat"), witty dialogue, and vibrant characters, the show blends gamblers, showgirls, and missionaries in a tale of love, redemption, and finding where you belong, from Times Square to Havana. What to Prepare
Please prepare a short song selection in the STYLE of the show that best showcases your ability and personality. You may sing from the show if you’d like. Auditions may be performed a cappella or with an audio track. No accompanist will be provided.
-Most will be asked to stay and move/dance. Please bring appropriate clothing that you are comfortable moving in.
